Barcelona linked Frenchman Is Prepared To Wait Before Sealing Move ● News Now transfer ● #FCB

Ernesto Valverde’s Spanish Champions Barcelona
have reportedly been in the market for a new
centre-half, with the Columbian Yerry Mina
struggling to adjust to life at the Camp Nou
since his January transfer.
It’s a Frenchman, Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet,
that has been most heavily linked with a move
to the club.
The 22-year-old has been an ever-present for
Los Rojiblancos this term, playing a remarkable
47 times in all competitions since his €5M
from Nancy.
Reports a number of days ago suggested a deal
to bring a player brimming with potential
to the Camp Nou was near.
But Samuel Umtiti might have to wait to have
his countryman line up beside him after a
change of staff at Sevilla.
The Andalusian side have just appointed a
new head coach in Pablo Machin, who had last
worked at Catalan side Girona and that has
complicated the situation somewhat.
Gregory Dakad, Lenglet’s Agent, has said
that his client wishes to speak with Machin
before making any further decisions.
“Lenglet is on vacation and will not decide
until he speaks with his new coach,” he
told local sports daily Estadio Deportivo.
“There is no news.
The idea remains the same and we want to respect
A public show of patience from his camp, the
likes of which is rare in the modern day,
might just be a sign that the French U-21
international, might just suggest that the
young defender has the right temperament to
succeed in the pressure cooker that is the
Camp Nou.
